A storybook wedding

After the cake has been cut and the dress packed away, it's the pictorial record of your wedding that serves as a permanent reminder of the day's celebrations.

Challenged by ideas and inspired by vision, Gary Swann's wedding images are recognisable for their technical excellence and evocative sense of the occasion – humour, expressions and special moments are each depicted with wit and creativity.

A Story In Pictures

Using an artistic combination of black and white photographs, Swann's reportage of the day is presented in the finest modern and contemporary albums, emphasizing each picture layout and allowing the story of the event to flow effortlessly.

Twenty years ago Gary's dream was to rub shoulders with and work along side top sports photographers at the World's most exciting events; Monaco for the Formula 1 Grand Prix, Golfing Majors, World Class Sailing Regattas, the Super Bowl, the Summer and Winter Olympics and so on. Five years later he had achieved it all, travelled around the globe and supplied photo agencies with thousands of images which were published in dozens of countries. Time for another challenge.

Country Life

In the early 1990's Gary's artistic talent was focused on achieving photographs which sometimes required the patience of a Saint. Hiding in nature dens in sub zero temperatures for days at a time to catch a few frames of a badger or a young fox cubs first steps. These images found there way onto the front covers of classic titles such as 'Horse and Hound' and 'Country Life'. Not happy with reaching the top in a second area of photography Gary moved on.

By the late 1990's Gary was married and living with his photographer wife, Andrada in Romania. With another goal in mind he set about becoming a fashion photographer. Within months he was working with Elle magazine in Romania, using the talent he already knew and at the same time learning more skills as he was shooting.

Team Work

As the images show here, it didn't stop there - Gary and Andrada now work together producing the most incredible storybooks of wedding days. Pooling their photographic skills, they travel to different countries from their base in the UK, capturing a record of wedding days which no other team can match.
