It’s 7.30 am, the sun is rising over the Sierra de las Nieves and cockerels are sounding the dawn of a new day, while small group of adventure seekers are putting on their crash helmets and gloves.. 

After a short ride through the sleepy village of Benahavis, the sound of the motors reverberating off the ancient white walls, five quad bikes start their assent into the hills for a morning promising fun and beautiful scenery.

Confidence building
The group of riders range from the very experienced to a nervous novice who took six attempts before passing a driving test. Confidence grows quickly under qualified instruction and everyone starts having fun. As the terrain becomes a little more tricky, the virgin quad bikers are given clear instruction on how to handle their machines and within minutes of leaving HQ, the group are looking at stunning views of the Mediterranean coastline and beautiful Andalucian countryside.

Two exhilarating hours touring around mountain tracks and trails, dry and wet riverbeds, plunging valleys and forests flies by. Apart from the people in the group, the only living beings seen since setting off have been sheep, rabbits, a fox and an aerie of Eagles soaring high in cool morning air - this is the life! Returning to Benahavis seems to happen all too quickly and with a warm feeling of satisfaction and achievement the novice takes off her safety helmet, “Can we do that again tomorrow?” she says.
