Designer Cocktail Bar with Cool Music Attracts Hip Crowd to Fuengirola

Bringing a new level of designer chic and glamour to Fuengirola, The Smile is the brainchild of Bond-style Bulgarian beauty, Maria Petrova, a young and forward-thinking entrepreneur with an eye for style.  And by her side is one of the Coast’s most popular international DJs, Mario Zarate, well known for his stints at Nikki Beach and at parties as far afield as Moscow and Dublin. With a penchant for house music, Mario will be bringing in guest DJs and setting up jazz nights and jam sessions with an eclectic range of musicians to make The Smile one of the best live music venues around.

 The red-carpet party showcased well the all white bar with cool designer furniture and a young attractive crowd. Along with complimentary champagne cocktails, the guests enjoyed a night of catwalk queens, DJs, musicians, performers,  go-gos and  Caberet style dancers pouting on swings.

The  inaugural entertainment didn't disappoint. With acrobats, Arabic style dancing – and a Zeppelin above the roof, throwing down coloured lights. There will be a funk band, percussionist and chill out musicians too… and a mini firework display the party was a taste of good things to come at The Smile all summer long.

Coming attractions will be the battle of the beach club DJs, Monday jam sessions, and a soul funk band on Thursdays. 

Open in the daytime for coffee, drinks and light bites. From 6pm the tempo lifts until 3am weekdays, and 4am weekends and bank holidays.
