The stunning gallery, Houses of Art, located at the emblematic hotel Marbella Club, was pleased to wish its clientele a Happy New Year, with a
cocktail party on 11 January.

Highlighting the works and artists that had been displayed at Houses of Art throughout 2007, among the work on show were paintings by esteemed
artist, Felix Muyo - who attended the event with his son Tirso -, photographer Wayne Chasan, both Marbella based, and artist Marc Lagrange.

The gallery's enthusiastic owner Marga de Jonge and her talented team, have sourced an eclectic selection of artists, sculptors and photographers works to adorn the walls of the attractive gallery. And testament to their excellent taste were the discerning guests gathered at the New Year soiree, including leading architect, Pablo Villarroel, Dutch interior designer Madalon, lawyer Javier Carretero and entrepreneur Steve Mizen.

With a high-powered advisory board behind it, it is no surprise that Houses of Art attracts interest from those with a finely-tuned appreciation of art. On the board are the former Dutch Secretary of Culture, Rick van der Ploeg and Christian Jörg, a curator of the esteemed Groninger Museum.

The aim of the gallery is to make art more accessible to people. Houses of Art believe that "art is part of who you are", and build their collection around a diverse selection of national and international contemporary artists.

With plans already in place to reveal a number of key exhibitions in 2008, look out for more events taking place at Houses of Art in coming months.
