1. Nikki Beach, Elviria, Marbella

4. Puro Beach, Laguna Village, Estepona

Puro Beach, perched on the golden Estepona shoreline, is part of the luxurious Laguna Village – an idyllic venue which houses designer boutiques, beach club, restaurants and bars.

5. Sonora Beach

If you’re more about the music than the glitzy, lavish Marbella lifestyle, you’ll feel right at home at Sonora. With its bohemian ambience and regular live music events, it’s not suprising that the bar attracts a large number of the coast’s reggae lovers, rock rebels and funk fans.
Sonora Beach is laid-back, down-to-earth yet full of attitude and nowehere else will you find so many sun-kissed hippie chicks and sexy surfer dudes this side of Tarifa. The area surrounding the bar is decked and features cool, boho-style seating areas with brightly coloured throws and cushions plus there are a number of sunbeds down on the sand available for those who want to top up their tans closer to the waves. 6. MC Beach

7. Heaven Beach

With a name like ‘Heaven’ this beach club has a lot to live up to. But luckily, we agree – the place is pretty special. From a distance, it may look like your average chiringuito but inside, it couldn’t be more different. Its tropical island feel makes it the perfect place to spend the whole day indulging your senses.
During the summer months, there’s no better place to take the family for a day of beach fun and frolics. In previous summers, Heaven’s daytime foam parties with live DJs and dancers have been a hit with people of all ages and by night, the club often hosts performances by Flamenco and Eastern dance acts by candlelight.
There’s an excellent food menu offering exotic salads, superb paella, hamburgers, fresh sardines, fried fish and seafood as well as a selection of summery cocktails to cool you down on those long, hot afternoons.
With views of the nearby mountain range as well as across the sea to the rock of Gibraltar and, on a clear day, the north of Africa, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to photo opportunities. There are often wind surfers and sky-surfers taking advantage of the Med-meets-Atlantic breeze and if you fancy riding the waves, you can sail in Heaven’s very own dingy!

8. Trocadero Beach

Situated on the beach in the heart of Marbella’s famous Golden Mile (next to the Marbella Club Hotel), Moroccan-inspired Trocadero Beach is open daily from June to October and offers a relaxed yet cosmopolitan atmosphere in which to enjoy luxurious lunches, delicious dinners and refreshing cocktails by the sea.
Food is available all day, although the a La Carte menu is only available until 6pm. The restaurant serves up a beautifully presented blend of Spanish cuisine, specialising in fresh fish dishes and paella. A little pricey perhaps, but the service, presentation and attention to detail justify every cent.
Chef Juan Manuel Manrique is also renowned for his excellent savoury patties and kebabs as well as naughty-but-nice desserts like the scrumptious chocolate fondue pudding.
Sundays at Trocadero are usually very busy (the locals like to enjoy long lunches after coming off the beach) so we recommend reserving a table.

9. Suite del Mar

Suite del Mar is renowned along the coast as an glitzy, upmarket nightspot. It’s part of the glamourous Puente Romano Hotel and overlooks the picturesque beaches of Marbella’s Golden Mile.
Throughout July and August, summer nights here are not to be missed. With big name DJs playing a variety of house, RnB and Latin sounds plus live entertainment from all over the world, this is another Marbella venue fit for an A-lister. A magnet for smooth madrileños and the original Marbella jet-set, Suite manages to maintain a certain caché for upscale people watching.
During the day, you can kick back and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Arabic-style club whilst sampling Suite’s selection of cool cocktails, beers and wines. A lunchtime buffet offering a superb array of fish, meat and vegetable dishes is perfect for filling up after swimming in the sea and in the evening, you can enjoy a medley of fusion and contemporary dishes as well as fresh seafood amd tender grilled meats.

10. Bikini Beach, Estepona

Located on Playa de La Rada, along Estepona’s paseo, Bikini Beach is the ideal place to spend a chilled-out afternoon with friends or family. Modern and funky, the beach club features indoor and outdoor tables and cool, contemporary single and double loungers on wooden decking priced between 7€ and 30€ for a full day.
Lunchtimes are always busy in summer and with an interesting, varied menu, it’s not difficult to see why. From Lebanese mezzes, pasta dishes and Spanish fish and seafood dishes, there’s something everyone can enjoy.
