Spence Clarke & Co, Chartered Accountants, based in Marbella,
recently celebrated its first Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the El Paraiso
Golf Club. The event was held in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association,
with two of the Charity’s representatives flying out from the UK especially
to attend and support the event.

Even though the heavens opened, the 20 teams put up a brave fight and all
20 teams finished the course, albeit somewhat damp!  Despite the weather
the day was a huge success, due to the generosity of all sponsors, prize
givers and donors, with a very impressive 6,646,50 Euros being raised for
the Charity. The format for the day was a Texas Scramble and the winners
of the trophies were:

First Prize with a score of 59,2 – VIP First (Lars Rydstrom,
Mons Aarskog, Andrew Parker & Ran Rosenblatt) won the Neil Williamson
Cup

Second Prize with a score of 60,5 – Renson Management (Chris
Warren, Keith Johnson, Nick Davis & Danni Worth)

Third Prize with a score of 60,8 – Brians Bandits (Brian Griffiths,
Louis Figueras, Ian McNee & Paul Appleyard)

The Spence Clarke Corporate Cup was won by Renson Management – team
as above, what a good day they had!

Danni Worth of Op e Beeck-Worth Insurance Brokers won the “Longest
Drive”, winning a Porsche Boxter for the day donated by Blue Sky Luxury
Car Hire.

“Nearest the pin” was won by John Lee Graham, a
member from El Paraiso Golf Club, who won an 80€ voucher for the Golf
Shop donated by The La Cala Lions Club who also ran the competition on the
14th hole.

The above photo, shows the cheque for 6,646,50 Euros being
presented by Susan Spence Clarke, Michael Egan and Alistair Spence Clarke
to the representatives of the Charity, Derek Williamson, Elaine Wyspianski
and Roger Lomas.

There was a raffle following the lunch in the Club House with
prizes from many Local and Marbella Companies and individuals including:-

Treatments from Connections Salon in Nueva Andalucia, a suede bag from Classic
Golf Marbella, Goodies from Wentworth GC from Jane Waterhouse, treatments
from Body Works, a Chartered Yacht trip from Sea Bees Charters Estepona,
