With the spanking new PGOU, or urban plan for Marbella, finally legal and
approved, the Town Hall of Marbella is shouting the news from the rooftops
with a series of high-profile trips, including the Mª Angeles Muñoz
- the Mayor’s recent media tour of New York finalizing in the magnificent PR
opportunity of closing the NASDAQ live in the Big Apple. Similar tours of honour
have taken place in Sweden and Norway and more are planned to London
and Germany, among other positive actions to restore confidence and excitement
among potential investors and residents considering Marbella for their future.
Closer to home, the Tourism Delegation of the Marbella Town Hall have been
hard at work devising ideas and events that will help to integrate the various
nationality business communities living and working in relative isolation in
the area. Along with the recently formed Think Tank, an advisory group, made
up of entrepreneurs of different nationalities and business sectors, the tourism
office has been brain-storming ideas based on their long and varied experience
of living and doing business in Marbella.

Marbella’s Future is About to Be Unveiled
Along with the Mayor’s revelations about the urban and economic development
which will endeavour to transform Marbella into the 21st century resort it
deserves to be, The Councillor of Tourism Jose Luis Hernández and
his team are about to present some of the fruits of this liaison at the 1st

an excellent opportunity for forward thinking business people of all nationalities
to hear from the ground up how the town’s plans will benefit them both directly
and indirectly, as well as providing a platform to network and discover
what the various business associations established in the area have to offer.
The three part event will comprise a talk from the Mayor and councillor
for Urban Planning, a presentation from the Tourism Councillor on the newly
devised “Marbella Open City” project, followed by brief presentations from
some of the leading business associations in Marbella including the British
